It's been so long since I last touched my blog. But I'm here to update all of you about my life for a bit. I've finally started studying again after STPM. It's been a VERY LONG break. About 9 months since I last touched my textbooks and I'm expected to still know everything I learnt back then.

Oh, for all of you curious cats, I'm taking my degree in Biomedical Science at Taylor's University Lakeside Campus. Please don't classify or stereotype me as a rich kid, because well, scholarships are everwhere. It's so different compared to Pre-U and I feel old because nearly everyone in class is a year younger.

As for those thinking why I didn't opt for Local Universities, I didn't get the course I wanted. Well technicaly I WAS offered a course, but I applied for it as a backup plan if I didn't get the course I originally wanted. But then again, Biomed was an option i considered only AFTER submitting the UPU applications.

"Do what you want to do, Don't let the world define you or shape your options"

That is actually something I can relate to. I honestly feel like a robot sometimes. I'm always influenced easily by the opinions of people around me. I'm the kind of person who, in the end, does things and makes choices to please people or to go with the flow.

Take this for an example.

My mom was going to get me a car. A week before getting it, I asked quite a number of people to help me decide on the colour, knowing very well that the colour I personally favoured was RED. However, EVERY SINGLE PERSON I talked to chose SILVER. And right now, my car is freaking silver. It wasn't bad at first, until I saw the red version all over the roads.

That pinching feeling in my heart made me feel like I imade the most terrible choice in the world. And I'm trying to change that. It's not easy to change once you get to a certain age, but I'm trying. I don't want to let the world define me, I want to be DIFFERENT.

But that won't happen without support. And this is why I'm truly grateful for the friends I've made right now. They're very cool people. They make me remember what kind of person I used to be a long time ago. I used to be the talkative one, the one making decision and influencing my peers. But right now, I'm just a listener, the quietest person, and one saying "yeah that's fine".

Screw that shit. I still don't think I'll have much to talk, but I'm going to do the things I like without worrying about the opinion of others. I want to shape my identity.

Another Night Out

Hi all ! :D

I just recently had a second round of celebrations with my girls ! Still not a complete get together but hey, birthdays are great excuses to meet up. Got to go to Empire Damansara for the first time that night as well. Thanks for the everything girls ♥

My memory is a little hazy on how I found out about Empire Damansara. Probably Instagram again. However, when I googled the place up, I could only find a few places that I wanted to try here. And so I took the opportunity to eat dinner at Metal Box. Hehe.

I originally wanted dessert though. I'm wondering why I didn't opt for Harajucube when I saw the signboard. Sigh. My tummy must have been really hungry to want a heavy dinner.

Felt overdressed that night but it was my night so meh. HAHHAA JOKE. Great interior. Nice ambiance. The view outside was just romantic at night. However, I wasn't too sure if the food I was eating was worth the price I paid for. The food was okay, but it didn't have the oomph I was waiting for when I read the reviews online. Probably set my expectations a lil too high for this place.

And because Metal Box wasn't enough to satisfy our appetites, we walked over to the other end for the mamak ! Jasmine said the Nasi Kambing there was nice, (any of you ate it before?), but it was already done for the day. We had to opt for typical overpriced mamak food hahah !! Well, mamaks in a high end area are more costly anyway. But just like every other mamak, it was a really good place to just sit, chill and gossip. Heh.

I really liked the place but I was too sleepy after work that night. I barely talked hahah. Just listened... or trying to listen while keeping my eyes open. Oops. Nights are much more romantic and they're the only time I get to spend time with people, but my physique and stamina just tells me to hit the sack by 11pm.

But if you noticed, pictures are an exception HAHAH.

Really regretful that I just sat there and listened. Even when I was given the chance to talk I didn't have much to talk about. It was like a... "oh my turn to talk? what do i say now?" kinda debate going on in my head HAHAHAH #insidestruggles

However, I really do appreciate the fact that they made time to spend with me :) It's never easy to meet up with so many of them in a day. Heheh. Thank you once again queens ♥

Little Blessings at 20

Hi everyone :)

Thank you so much for the wishes, gifts and time spent with me over the past few days. I appreciate every one of it :)

Sorry if I didn't reply you, I might have overlooked it. Suddenly at 20 years old I don't feel old neither do I feel all that young. I guess the twenties are the borderline between the two. Even birthdays don't seem like such a big deal already compared to when I was a kid.

I wonder if you feel that way too. Whether you're the same age or not.

I'll also put a pause to my 30 Day Blog Challenge for this post. I want to look back on my birthdays and how I spend them in years to come. Don't you ?

Woke up to this on my sister's room mirror. I don't have a mirror so I use hers HAHAH. I think she paid me back for the time I stuck tissue on the car wiper. (she thought she had a parking summon HAHAH).

Had lunch with two of my girls at AMPM Cafe. I'm glad I finally had time to go there as I've always seen reviews on blogs and pictures on Instagram. Heheh. I also took the opportunity to try Eggs Benedict. Yup. That was my first time HAHAH. The first few bites were amazing ! SALMONNNN. MY LOVE. However, towards the last few bites I felt like puking :/ Can I blame the egg yolk ? Heh.

Birthdays are days where spending on good food is worthwhile and reasonable. Also, it's not everyday people will pay for you HAHAH. Unlike my every work day mamak food, this was a VERY nice change. It's been awhile since I had salmon too.

Thank you ladies for the cake ! My first and only slice of cake this year so far hahah ! It was also my first time trying salted caramel cake. I honestly thought it was a chocolate cake at first sight until the owner mentioned that it's actually caramel. I must say, it was a satisfying choice. It wasn't overly sweet and had a subtle caramel taste... until you eat the sides.

Mandatory picture with Layne and Vonn ! :D Thanks for spending time with me despite your busy schedules heheh. However, the food didn't stop there. Oh no no no.

Vonn and I headed to SS15 for Sangkaya's Coconut Ice Cream ! The parking was crazy but the ice cream was worth 4 rounds around SS15 heheh. One of the best ice creams I've tasted so far. The sweetness was just right! Unique in it's own way. The only thing that would have made it better is if came in a slightly larger portion hahah !

For dinner, Jason and I went to the Three Little Pigs & Big Bad Wolf. I've always walked past this restaurant while doing grocery shopping at Bangsar New Village. Never really got the chance to taste the menu until tonight. And right now I'm wondering how many first(s) I've already written in this blog post. Heh. I dare you to count.

Can never avoid Orea Milkshake and Carbonara once I eye it in the menu. Speaking of which, I somehow chose not to eat Carbonara for lunch for the first time in Carbonara menu history HAHAH JOKE. I just needed to satisfy my carbonara craves. I liked the mood setting and ambiance there. Was romantic enough for the night hehehe.

I think the only thing I did on my birthday was eat. Breakfast, lunch, tea, dinner and now supper ! Oh wait, does dessert count as supper ? Hahah ! I brought Jason to Dip&Dip because he didn't try it yet. Besides, I'd rather have it in Bangsar than cram in the outlet at Pyramid.

"There's always room for dessert". I'll take that back HAHAH. By the end of this Jason and I were so full. It felt like my tummy was going to explode. I'm not a person who can eat all day long and still eat. Definately overestimated my tummy that day. At that moment, I wonder how connoisseurs feel like when they taste food all day long.

Oh. Who gives a bouquet of flowers and skittles ? My boyfriend. HAHAH. I'll blame this for my sugar rush at work. 6 packets of extra energy.

Once again, thank you to everyone who made my 20th a little better, be it in a small or big way. Heh.

My Top3 Pet Peeves

Hey everyone :)

Thanks for reading the entries for the 30 Day Blog Challenge. It means a lot. And today is April Fool's ! :D Hope you guys have fun playing jokes hehehe. I, on the other hand, am starting work again today. Yup, got myself another job heheh.

Anyways, here's a proper nice selfie before I begin with Day 3 of the 30 Day Blog Challenge, "What are your Top 3 Pet Peeves ?"

For those of you who aren't so sure about what pee peeves it, it has absolutely NOTHING to do with PETS. It's just a word that describes an annoyance that's caused by someone else. Or something that you find very annoying and ticks you off. I hope you get the meaning heheh.

I'm pretty sure all of you have your own pet peeves. I have plently, but choosing only 3 ? I'll just pick the ones that everyone's bound to agree on (I hope!) Now let's get started, in no particular order HAHAH :D

#1 Its/It's or Your/You're or Their/They're

In short, people who don't know the difference ticks me off. I always feel the need to correct them but most of the time I don't give a damn. It's everywhere. Maybe it's because I've been speaking English my whole life so it just comes naturally to me, but I just can't stand it when someone else makes that mistake over and over again. Correcting them won't do a thing. Imma grammar nazi they say :/

#2 People who ALWAYS find something Negative to Comment.

It's hard. It really is. Every time I watch a music video, it's full of comments. Then I'd scroll down to read, curious about what other people thought of it, and what do I read ? Bashing. Tons of bashing. Ridiculous negative comments that sometimes have nothing to do with the video content. Sounds like they just went there to comment and not watch the video. I don't even bother to read comments nowadays. It used to be a way for me to expect what to see in a video, but now :(

#3 Bad Drivers

I thought that would sum up all the drivers I'd like to complain against. No putting signal before cutting lanes, driving too slow on the fast lane, horning other people for no reason, double parking, drivers following too closely, not giving way like their life depends on it, following behind an ambulance or police and so many more. The list goes on and on and on. Feel free to add on :D

Honestly I would add more, like dirty public toilets, people smoking in non-smoking areas, rude waiters, and more but then this would end up becoming a really negative post. Heh. How about you ? I'm sure you're conjuring more pet peeves in your head, aren't you ? Hahah.
