#611 - FRIM

Hey all ! :)

Last Saturday, I went to FRIM (for the third time) with my tuition buddies ! :D Teacher included. Heheh ! It felt great to be with them outdoors. Although we're not as fit as we think we are cough cough. I think this is the first time I got so tired when we were barely halfway through the trek. Guess I need to stop sitting at home and start getting fit again HAHAH. But honestly, this trip was enjoyable :) It wasn't complete though, maybe we should plan another one when everyone can be there.

Us at the canopy walk ! We couldn't go on it because apparently the tickets had to be purchased at the Souvenir Shop. Which is.........all the way at the bottom, and we're already near the peak of the trail. Who would go back down just to get tickets ? Oh well. They said to avoid disappointment it's recommended to book the tickets, as they only allow a fixed amount of people on the canopy walk a day. Heads up if you're planning to visit !

Compulsory picture during the trek ! Going up was tiring cause I went slow HAHAH. Going fast makes it less tiring, but I'd still prefer going slow so my muscles are worked out. (I hope). Going down was even harder because my sport shoes don't really have their grip anymore. But hey ! That's a sign that I'm actually using my sport shoes often, no ? HAHAH.

After trekking, we headed over to the picnic area for lunch and a dip in the waterfall. The water was so cold! It feels like you can just sit there and stay in the water all day. Not wanting to leave, but you have to because it's getting late hahaha.

With teacher ! We've started tuition when she was Miss Wong. Then Mrs Wong, and now Dr Wong ! :D Thanks so much for everything since Sem1 :)

And oh ! We decided to drop by Inside Scoop for free ice cream after leaving FRIM ! At least now I don't have to go all the way to KL just for this haha ! Clockwise from the green pistachio, durian, chocolate, and raspberry yoghurt ! I'd still prefer baskin robbins, but this was really nice too !

#610 - Double Zoo Date

Hello there :)

It's my first time going on a double date. But it felt more like the usual outing with friends. Except that I don't really feel bad not talking to the them from time to time. Cause they'll still have each other even if I don't talk to them heheh, and I have mine :D But who's the other couple ? A mystery you probably won't solve.

We went to the zoo using public transport. We took the KTM to KL Central. After that, we took the LRT to Wangsa Maju. From there, just get a taxi to the zoo. The whole journey should be about RM10, if not less than that. Though a reminder, when going back, don't take taxis from inside the zoo compound. They charge you at a fixed price and not according to the meter. (which is usually much cheaper).

The tickets went for RM30 per entry, and an additional RM20 if you want to see the pandas. Wow. We took the panda ticket, because, well, better to see pandas once than never, right ? Hahah! Although I did see pandas in China. Right now I'm wondering if they're the same ones I saw back then. Hmmmm...

I've been the zoo a few times before but even as a returning visitor, I still feel like it's my first time here. It's always amazing to see animals. Someone called the giraffe Jason's best friend. Tall people issues. HAHAHAH.

I still find this picture so sweet :) Like NGAWWWHHHH.

The aviary was full of beautiful birds, though they are bit hard to see if they blend in really well with the trees. But it's hard to take pictures of them, if you haven't already noticed.

Most of the enclosures were pretty well kept, although some parts are still under renovation and are undergoing upgrades. But the panda facility makes the enclosures look....well.... Kinda meh.

Halfway through, we decided to catch the 11.00AM animal show ! They have another show in the afternoon, but I thought it would be better to catch the morning one so we can leave early and hopefully not get caught by the usual evening rain. It's worth watching ! :) You'd be wasting your money if you didn't see this.

I would ask you to look at the eagle that's looking at you... but ............that couple's stare. HAHAH.

BEARCAT. SO FLUFFY. SO CUTE. NOT BEAR. NOT CAT. But you're still a bearcat!

A few of the creatures at the reptile house ! Trying to find them is the tricky part ,especially the snakes !

There were so many animals ! Be sure to read the signboards for more information :) Although..... Sometimes the signboards aren't accurate. There were a few mislabelled enclosures. Like saying it's a hyena when it's obviously not. Ahh well. They should have updated the signs if they were moving the animals to different enclosures. That would avoid PLENTY of confusion.

At the Savannah ! It's nice to see giraffes, zebras, antelopes and even ostriches in the same compound :) The rhinoes and elephants were elsewhere though. My mom asked me if I went for the elephant ride. But I didn't even see anywhere offering rides. Hahaha. Maybe it was when I was a small kid. No more elephant rides :(

Fu Wa sleeping like a boss ! So adorable :D I read somewhere that the pandas are usually only awake during feeding time, which is about 2.30PM. I forgot about that fact and we went inside much earlier. Be sure to check the timing :) As you're only allowed to enter the facility once !

Spot Feng Yi at the back ! I know that they were renamed as Xing Xing and Liang Liang..... but I really can't help but call them by their original names. It's like asking you to call me Marion when you've been calling me Nat the whole time. And a few shots later my camera ran out of battery ! HAHAH ! Ahh well. Didn't manage to get pictures of the apes and penguins on my camera. But at least I have them in my phone :D

I would definately recommend that you visit the Zoo at least once in your life. But be sure to bring water and stay hydrated ! And maybe a cap or umbrella if you don't like direct sunlight. I would also recommend that you pack your own lunch, as the food here isn't all that nice and worth it. There was a panda cafe at the panda enclosure but I haven't tried the food there.

#609 - Faraday Party

Hello you lovely person who's reading this :)

Every path you take has it's beginning and ending. But some beginnings mark the end of a story, while some endings mark the beginning of another. It all depends on how you look at it. I started Form 6 as a student in 6 Elok, moving on to 6 Faraday, and now that STPM has ended, I'm drifting along aimlessly. I'm sure you feel it too. The moment you leave school and you have to decide on what to do after that. I'm envious of those who have already decided on what to do, while I'm here wasting time away.

But that's not today's main dish! What's the end of school without a party? A big thank you to our superwoman class teacher Pn Phung for inviting us to your house for a steamboat dinner party ! It wasn't a complete set because some couldn't make it, but all in all, I just couldn't say no to the party because it could or could not be one of the last times we see each other before moving on with life.

Pn Phung decided to set the venue at her bungalow in Puchong ! It was a pleasant drive there with Waze. I don't know what I'll do without it. Driving alone on new roads is interesting I must say. Or maybe it's been awhile since I felt this independent. The housing area appeals so much to nature lovers like me. Imagine waking up and seeing grenery. Ahhh. Satisfaction.

Upon reaching, everyone was dragged into preparations ! I helped out in the kitchen and frying. Heheh. Food tastes better when everyone prepares and eats together. I guess that's why I got full just after the salad ! Hahah ! So many greens to eat ! It's been awhile since I ate my veges. So much food to eat yet so little space in my tummy. You can probably tell that even with 26 people we couldn't finish it.

After dinner we decided to all go on a short walk around the housing area. Each house was so unique. I still find the one with the Mickey Mouse decos very interesting ! Makes me wonder how the inside looks like.

I think I've grown out of taking selfies with everyone I see. I feel that's it's a great change. I get to enjoy the moment more and only take pictures when I really get the inspiration or feeling to. Somehow, it also makes the few pictures I take more meaningful. Probably the reason my Instagram is suddenly mostly non-selfie non-human pictures hahahah ! Still trying to balance that.

I have no idea what they were doing honestly hahahaha. So cute.

Spot the Hidden Mickeys !

After walking we went back to help Ph Phung clean up the place. Soon after that we sang and celebrated all our December babies's birthdays ! And Jon's as well. I still like that chandelier. It was so bright, so beautiful. Reminds me so much of the earlier princessey Disney movies HAHAHA.

Lastly, thank you to our wonderful superwoman class teacher of one and a half years for making our class party successful ! You've only got a few more months to teach, and I'm thankful for having you as my teacher :) I'm sure the Faradians think so too.

it's hard but i hope everyone keeps in touch
